Kevin para
FOUNDER
Kevin’s been around a while (not that he’s old). He’s got a solid background in construction, planning, zoning and real estate. He’s also been busy in and around town as the volunteer and President of the Rotary Club, a volunteer at the Women’s Center and he even worked at the NSB Utility Commission. He’s a Florida boy, with degrees from Daytona State and University of Florida (go Gators!).
With over forty years of thinking, planning, prototyping and creating everything from tiny homes to sustainable showers, Kevin is ready to share his experience and battery of tools with others in the community. Absolutely passionate about creativity and inventing, Kevin has created a “place” where he can help makers realize their dreams. He truly is a wealth of knowledge! Come by and meet him and share his passion!
Alina dawson
President
Our sitting president is just along for the ride. Part of the founding team, Alina helps on the not-so-fun side, running board meetings and importing contacts. She has worked as a civil designer and electric distribution design drafter for over 5 years. After working for a local utility, she took a position designing and drafting distribution lines in Navajo Nation. Her experience primarily lies in CAD, specifically AutoCAD and Civil3D, GIS, and handicrafts like sewing & painting. Recently, she has been working in the background with Kevin & the Building Committee to bring the Makerspace up to ADA standards in hopes to open again for public classes soon!
